LAWTON, OK (KSWO)- Nearly 300 show pigs from breeders across the United States took over Comanche County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

The event was hosted by Perfect Timing Pig Sale.

Pigs were sold to FFA and 4H members to present at shows across the country.

But everyone was welcome to purchase a pig!

The average pig cost two thousand dollars.

Sales manager Blake Kennedy the day was all about showing off pigs and connecting them with the right buyers.

"We're simply growing better people in the livestock industry,” said Kennedy. “I grew up showing livestock, pigs, and goats. But what I've taken away from my experience is showing responsibility. The friendships that I've made across the United States showing it's just something. We are building better people."

Kennedy said they've been holding the event in Lawton for four years.
