OK (KSWO)- A natural gas pipeline is being built across a part of Oklahoma and the project company has a special gift for several local fire departments.
Midship Pipeline Company is building a 200-mile long pipe. It will connect new gas production from the Anadarko Basin to existing pipelines. The pipeline will go through 8 counties, including Grady and Stephens Counties.
Midship is giving $200,000 to 64 rural volunteer fire departments that are within 10 miles of the project. Each department will get about $3,100.
Next month, Midship will be giving the Doyle, Loco, and Velma volunteer fire departments a check. The company says it hopes this gift will help rural volunteer fire departments continue to protect their communities.
