Two Marlow residents running for vacant District 51 seat

MARLOW, Ok (KSWO)

Two candidates have announced their candidacy for the Oklahoma House District 51 recently vacated by Scott Biggs.

Marlow Mayor Brad Boles, 31, officially filed paperwork to run on the Republican ticket on Monday, according to Marlow City Manager Jason McPherson.

Marlow resident Charles Murdock, 71, has filed to run for the seat on the Democrat ticket.

Boles is currently serving his fourth year as the mayor of Marlow. He is also the President of Wilco Machine & Fab, Inc.

Murdock spent 32 years as an educator in Marlow. He also served as the Athletic Director before his retirement.
