UPDATE: Fort Sill East Range fire contained

FORT SILL, OK (KSWO) - Some good news about the status of the Fort Sill East Range fire. On Saturday, the Fort Sill Fire Chief Clint Langford reported that the fire is 100 percent contained. The update was posted to Fort Sill's Facebook page on Saturday. The fire was caused by artillery training, but according to the Facebook post it never left the impact area and wasn't close to any structures.

The fire is expected to burn and smolder for the next week as the fire burns itself out. Fire crews will be monitoring it during that time.
