Lawton man charged with sexual battery

LAWTON, Ok (RNN Texoma) -

A Lawton man is accused of inappropriately touching a 7-year-old boy.

Branden Cordes was formally charged Wednesday with sexual battery. Court documents say the incident happened May 12 in Medicine Park.

Cordes could face up to 10 years in prison, if convicted. He is out of jail on $10,000 bond. 

His next court appearance is set for May 24.
