A Lawton man will spend the next 12 years behind bars after he was sentenced for sexually assaulting a pair of children.
46-year-old Eric Caldwell pleaded guilty to two counts of Lewd or Indecent Acts with a Child. He entered a blind plea which allowed him to receive his sentence from a judge.
The Comanche County District Attorney's office was pushing for 35 years in prison but the judge sentenced Caldwell on Tuesday to 25 years in prison, with 13 years suspended.
He will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and undergo sex offender treatment while in prison.
Caldwell pleaded guilty to assaulting the two children between August and November of 2017.
