LAWTON, Ok (RNN Texoma) - Crews spent about two hours fixing a gas line in east Lawton on Wednesday after it was hit during construction on SE 45th Street.
Fire crews were called to the scene around 10 a.m. after reports that a commercial gas line had been hit. Officials with the gas company were on the scene and requested Lawton Fire Department's assistance at the scene. Fire crews shut down 45th Street while crews were working to stop the leak and repair the gas line.
Around 1 p.m. on Wednesday crews opened the road back up and cleared the scene.
There were no reports of injuries or damage outside of the original gas line.
We have called Centerpoint Energy to try to get more information about the break but have not yet heard back.
