Inmates captured in Jackson County after escaping from Oklahoma prison

Two inmates are back behind bars after escaping from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite.

Jody Elmore and Chad Adams were caught just before 11 a.m. in Jackson County. The Sheriff's Office said the Blair chief of police got a tip on them Thursday morning. Elmore and Adams were found walking down railroad tracks south of Blair. Several law enforcement agencies surrounded the inmates in a field until the two surrendered.

They are currently being held in the Jackson County jail. Elmore and Adams were two of three inmates that escaped yesterday morning. The third inmate, Jon Elliot was captured yesterday near the Quartz Mountain Golf Course. DOC says all three inmates were serving time for non-violent crimes.
