LAWTON, Ok (RNN Texoma) -

A Lawton woman has been sentenced for her part in a shooting that wounded an off-duty Geo prison guard.

Thursday 35-year-old Jana Givens pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact.

As a part of her plea deal, Givens was given a ten year suspended sentence, and was ordered to testify in the future trial against the accused gunman Michael Ishman. She will also have to keep in good contact with the D-A officer, and pay a one-thousand dollar fine.

Givens told investigators she helped Ishman in the 2016 shooting by giving him a ride to the scene and driving him to Dallas after the crime.
