JACKSON COUNTY, OK (KSWO) – The Blair Fire Department chief and Jackson County sheriff's department are reporting that a Friendship firefighter was killed in a house fire Friday evening.

The fire broke out just after 5:30 p.m. at a home at the intersection of  county roads 206 and 160 about a mile north of Altus.
Firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.
The Blair Fire Department's Facebook page reported the death of one firefighter with the Friendship fire department.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but the home is a total loss.
Volunteer fire department crews from Altus, Blair and Altus Air Force Base helped to battle the fire.
