Will Hutchison gives an update on the situation in Cache

CACHE, Ok (RNN Texoma) - Students in Cache were evacuated after a parent called the school about a possible bomb threat.

Officials at the school said they evacuated the school out of an abundance of caution. Students were sent outside and then bussed to the city park. All students were safe and with teachers.

A message was sent to parents through an automated system.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was called in to search the buildings to ensure they were safe.

School officials say they do not expect school to restart today. Authorities will clear the big gym and then students will be brought back there until buses can get everyone home.

Police are questioning people to try to determine exactly what happened and what circumstances led to the bomb threat.
