LAWTON, Ok (RNN Texoma) - The McMahon Tomlinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lawton held a Centennial Celebration on Wednesday afternoon. They recognized five residents who are all over 100-years-old!
A woman who just recently celebrated her 105th birthday shared with us the secret to a long life. "I had a good family, had a good husband, good children. A lot of nice things happened to me in life. I had a career i enjoyed as a librarian," said Dorthy Borrow.
"She's a wonderful person, a wonderful mother, she likes to read a lot. I think that's what keeps her mind alert," said Dorthy's daughter Ann Wisener.
Included in the festivities was a performance by the Eisenhower band, cake and a photo booth. Each resident received a centennial certificate from Lawton Mayor Fred Finch.
