Lawton woman dragged by a pickup truck

LAWTON-- Police say a Lawton woman was dragged by a moving pickup truck driven by her boyfriend Saturday afternoon.

It happened near 6th and Ferris. The victim says her boyfriend pushed her out of the pickup truck and dragged for at least a couple of blocks. Cops says the woman was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries to her face and her back.

Her boyfriend was arrested for aggravated assault and battery. He tells police that his girlfriend tried to jump out the pickup with her seatbelt on and that's why she was dragged.

Detectives are investigating.
