LAWTON-- Local parents who've lost their children much too soon in life gathered Sunday night to remember their loved ones. We first told you about the Compassionate Friends organization in October.
Sunday evening the local chapter held a candlelight vigil as part of a worldwide ceremony.
Goody Tendall says, "the lighting starts in New Zealand at 7pm New Zealand time. And each following time zone in parts of the world people light candles in remembrance of their children."
This is the ninth year for the ceremony. The organization meets monthly to support each through difficult times. They say their children may be gone, but they're never forgotten.
Three weeks after the House narrowly approved the measure with GOP-only votes and after several embarrassing setbacks, Republican senators said they'd move in their own direction and dismissed the report's impact.
