Make sure pets have a warm place too

UNDATED-- A reminder to some, 7 News is getting calls about people leaving their pets outside in this freezing weather--no shelter and sometimes, no food.

The Humane Society says if you can't bring them inside, make sure your animal has an insulated place to get out of the wind and freezing temperatures.  If you have a garage that's a good place.  You should also add blankets or hay.

If you must leave your pet outside, don't just leave the water bowl out alone it will freeze.  The also recommend mixing your pet's food with a little warm water.  And check on them as often as you can.
