Bill would give tax break on health club fees

OKLAHOMA CITY-- Oklahomans would get a tax break on health and fitness club fees under a bill heading to the state Senate.

The Senate Finance Committee today approved the bill giving an income tax credit of 20 percent of the cost of joining a health club.

Senator Mike Mazzei says he hopes by helping offset the cost of a health club membership more Oklahomans will begin exercising and adopt healthier lifestyles.
