Flood waters slowly falling but more rain is expected

UNDATED-- Morning light unveiled a noticeable difference in the water level around parts of Texoma.  Much of the areas that were under water last night are no longer submerged.  While still moving swiftly, Cache creek is also noticeably down. 

At last check, both Lake Lawtonka and Lake Ellsworth were spilling water.  That is still causing concern for folks down stream in the Garden Village and Turtle Creek areas of Lawton and even farther down stream in Walters.  

Unfortunately more rain may be on the way.  SkyWarn 7 Meteorologist Kim Truong says to expect off and on rain for today.  Some thunderstorms will also be possible, especially after the peak heating of the day.  The storm system that produced this week's wet weather will gradually move southeast toward Houston, putting an end to the widespread rain tonight.
