Gas in state at all-time high

UNDATED-- The price of gas in Oklahoma is at an all-time high of just under $3.10 per gallon for self-serve regular.

AAA Oklahoma says the average price in Oklahoma City is now $3.12 per gallon while Tulsans are paying an average of $3.09.  Here in Lawton gas averages $3.11 per gallon.

AAA spokesman Chuck Mai says analysts blame the rising prices on refinery and supply problems but he says the high prices are in the Midwestern and Western U.S.  Mai says prices on the East Coast well below their all-time highs with the cheapest gas in the nation in South Carolina at just over $2.82.

The highest average price for gas is in California at just over $3.48 per gallon.
