One dead, one critically injured in Highway 7 and east 60th accident

LAWTON-- One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a tragic accident on Highway 7 and east 60th Street.   Officials at the scene say a Comanche County Sheriff's Deputy and another car collided at the intersection shortly before four this afternoon.   The deputy has been transported to Oklahoma City and is reported in critical condition.   The driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene after apparently being thrown from the vehicle.   Officials at the scene have not released the name of any of the victims at this time.   They are also still conducting their investigation into how the wreck happened.   Officials are also encouraging travelers to avoid the area if at all possible.  No roads are closed at this time.
