Body of missing Texas soldier found

FORT HOOD, TEXAS -- The body of a missing Fort Hood soldier has been found.   A spokesperson from the post says SGT Lawrence Sprader's body was discovered late Tuesday night in a rugged, remote area of the post.    The discovery brings an end to an intense ground and air search that spanned four days.   The 25-year old Soldier went missing Friday during a land navigation exercise.  The body has been sent for an autopsy.

Hundreds of soldiers and civilians scoured thousands of acres in the rugged hills looking for any sign of Sprader.  Helicopters and blood hounds also took part in the search.  On Tuesday a plane equipped with heat-seeking infrared technology was brought in to help.  The post spokesperson says it's still unclear when Sprader died.
