Walters Flooding

WALTERS--The town of Walters is just trying to stay above water.  Walters City Manager John Sheppard is staying busy checking on residents in low lying areas.  Sheppard says the last big flood was back in 1983.  He said, as of Friday, around 3pm, they're only 3 feet below that stage.   He says crews will be out all night checking on the community.

The City of Walters is warning those who live North of Missouri Avenue should be prepared to evacuate at a moment's notice.  Sheppard also says if you live in Walters and need help tonight, call the fire department at 875-2060.
