Work delayed again on Lawton's broken water main

LAWTON, OK-- People on the east side of Lawton were crossing their fingers that Monday would be the day city crews get back to work on the water main break. But, the hole that city workers had dug in order to run a waterline beneath East Cache Creek filled up before the pipe was placed.  So, they'll have to dig a new one.

Work temporarily stopped last week due to flooding at East Cache Creek. The break had caused boil orders and low water pressure for the east side of town.

The mandatory boil order for Garden Village has been cancelled, but everyone on the east side is still asked to voluntarily boil their water.
