Lawton pre-K enrollment Aug. 2 and Aug. 5

Lawton_The Lawton Public Schools has scheduled pre-kindergarten enrollment on Aug. 2 and Aug. 6 for families with four-year-old children.

Eligible children must be four-years-old on or before Sept. 1 and live within the Lawton Public School district.  Children who live on or west of 11th Street will attend the Learning Tree Academy and will enroll on Thursday, Aug. 2.  Enrollment for Lawton children living east of 11th Street or on Fort Sill will enroll on Monday, Aug. 6.

Families living east of 11th Street have the choice of sending their children to Pre-K programs at Lincoln Elementary, Carriage Hills Elementary or Sullivan Village Elementary.  Children living on Ft. Sill can attend Sheridan Road Elementary or Geronimo Road Elementary.

Enrollment on each date will take place from 5-7pm at Central Middle School, 1201 Fort Sill Blvd.  Application for enrollment will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Although each class size is limited to 20 students, LPS administrators note that there has been sufficient space for any family in recent years that has wanted to place children in the district's pre-kindergarten program.  Overall, the LPS Pre-K program can serve as many as 900 children.

Families are responsible for providing their own transportation too and from school.
