Governor Henry asks FEMA for more assistance

Oklahoma_Governor Brad Henry is asking the federal government to expand the number of Oklahomans who can receive assistance for flood and storm damage.  Henry wants federal authorities to add another 16 counties.

The additional counties include Cotton, Grady, Kiowa and Stephens in Southwest Oklahoma.  Five counties already have been approved for individual assistance, including Comanche, Nowata, Ottawa, Pottawatomie and Washington.
