Altus robbery suspect still at large

Altus_Police in Altus are looking for the man who robbed a health food store at gunpoint over the weekend.  It happened at the GNC store Sunday afternoon.

Police say a white man in his mid twenties came into the store and handed the clerk a note.  It said he had a gun.  He took all the cash in the register and then tied up the clerk.  They are still looking for the suspect.

"We've enlisted the help of the Oklahoma's state bureau of investigation as far as assisting us with a composite drawing based upon the victim's statements that she made," said Captain Michael Turner.  "We have that and we're trying to get that out to the public."

He was reported as wearing a long sleeved purple and green plaid shirt and a dark brown ball cap with an "A" on it.  Police recovered the shirt and hat from the trash at the United Supermarket nearby.  He is also said to have a tattoo on his neck by his collarbone.  If you have seen anyone who resembles the composite drawing or if you have any information on this robbery, contact Altus Crimestoppers at 580-482-TIPS (580-482-8477)
