County employees get a raise

Comanche County Commissioners have an annual budget of $1.85 million and approved a budget that would provide $50 across the board raises for all county employees and a five percent raise for elected officials.  "The sheriff's office did receive the largest increase, which was approximately $135,000 increase over last year's budget," said Commissioner Ron Kirby.

Along with salary increases, replacement of all the locks at the juvenile detention center will cost a hefty $175,000.  Earlier this year some of the juveniles learned how to pick the locks, so they were due for a much needed change.
