National Disaster Preparedness month

Comanche County Emergency Management to team with other disaster agencies to increase awareness and participation!

Comanche County Emergency Management (CCEM), along with Fort Sill Emergency Management, the Great Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross and Lawton's chapter of Salvation Army urge citizens to boost their disaster awareness and participation during September, National Disaster Preparedness Month. With Oklahoma receiving numerous disasters throughout the past two years, both children and adults are encouraged to learn more about disaster preparedness and participation through National Disaster Preparedness Month.

These entities will be hosting a booth at Lawton's International Festival, September 21 - 23; however, they will also be available to answer any questions and offer volunteer opportunities throughout the entire month of September.  You may contact any, or all, of these agencies throughout September for additional information.
