Oklahoma Cavalry announces dance team tryouts

The Oklahoma Cavalry professional CBA basketball team will hold its second round of dance team auditions Friday, September 21, 2007 at Dance Phase located at 3601 S. Broadway, Suite 900,  Edmond, Okla. 

Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. and tryouts will start at 7:15 p.m.  Dancers in all metro areas of Oklahoma are encouraged to audition.     

"The Cavalry and I are so excited to be in Oklahoma and holding auditions in the Oklahoma City Metro Area," said Shelby McClure, Cavalry dance team coordinator/choreographer.  "We are seeking dancers who not only have a passion to dance, perform and entertain; but those who are excited to be a part of a community and grow with the team."

Interested applicants need to fill out the mandatory application and bring to auditions on September 21.  The application must include all required materials and a registration fee of $15. All registration fees are non-refundable, must be a money-order or cash and must be submitted by the time of auditions.

Cavalry Dance Team members must possess the ability to learn quickly, perform high-energy routines as well as maintain a positive and professional appearance.  The dance team

will perform year-round at games, make appearances on behalf of the Oklahoma Cavalry and have an active role in the community.
