Director of Morale, Welfare and Recreation Brenda Spencer-Ragland said she is pleased the Oklahoma Cavalry will be participating in this year's Oktoberfest and is thankful for the team helping out with the sports arena at the festival.

"We are very excited to have the Oklahoma Cavs come on line as both sponsors and partners for not only the Oktoberfest, but so many other great activities that will benefit our Soldiers, Families and Lawton-Fort Sill community,"  said Ragland.  "Most importantly, I am extremely thankful for their generous donation of complimentary tickets to their home games for our Wounded Warriors."

Oktoberfest is free and open to the public.  Activities are planned from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 13 with a three-mile Volksmarch and one-mile Children's Volksmarch kicking off the festival at 8 a.m.  Other events during the day include amusement rides, a magic show, live entertainment and a children's area with games.  Various food vendors, German food and a beer and wine garden will also be available.
