Crash kills Geronimo man

COMANCHE COUNTY-- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Geronimo man was killed early Sunday mornng when he drove his pickup off a bridge south of Lawton and flipped into a creek. Troopers say alcohol may have been involved.

OHP says 24- year-old Julian Contreras of Geronimo was driving on Bishop Road east of Railroad when, for some reason, his pickup went off a bridge and rolled his into East Cache Creek. Troopers say it was about a 40-foot drop.

OHP says Contreras was trapped in the mangled wreckage for about three hours and died at the scene. While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, troopers say Contreras smelled like alcohol.
