NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Boomer and Sooner are heading to the pasture.

The ponies that pull the Sooner Schooner after every Oklahoma touchdown will make their last appearance Saturday during the Sooners' game against Oklahoma State.

After this season, the duo will retire to a ranch in Sapulpa under the care of Bill and Linda Warden. The ponies were the fourth pair to pull the Schooner.

Boomer and Sooner V have already been selected and will take over the Schooner duties in the spring.
