NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma forward Keith Clark will miss the rest of the basketball season after becoming academically ineligible.
OU coach Jeff Capel made the announcement today, saying it's a big loss for the Sooners.
Clark is a sophomore and had played in each of the Sooners' first 14 games before sitting out Monday's victory against Mount St. Mary's. He is averaging 5.4 points per game.
Capel says Clark will not enroll at OU for the spring semester.
Clark missed the second half of his freshman season after injuring his knee.
The Sooners are 12-3 and will host Kansas State on Saturday in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams.
