Crash kills Comanche County teens

NEAR STERLING- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says two Comanche County teenagers were killed in a car crash overnight near Sterling. Troopers say 19-year-old Dusty Herring of Sterling, and 16-year-old Trenten McIntosh of Elgin were thrown from their car around 2 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway 65 just north of Rogers Lane.

Investigators say Herring, the driver, was speeding when he lost control and crashed into a traffic sign before the car rolled onto its top. OHP says both Herring and McIntosh were ejected. Herring was thrown 72 feet and McIntosh was thrown 30 feet according to reports. Troopers say neither were wearing seatbelts.
