Justin Rudicel

A native of Indianapolis, Justin graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology and Climatology. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism, Conventions and Event Management from Indiana University.

Justin began his broadcasting career while attending Ball State for WIPB in Muncie as its weekly forecaster for Newslink Indiana. He also had a weather internship at WISH-TV in Indianapolis in the summer of 2007.  Justin is an active member of the American Meteorological Society and an active Skywarn storm spotter.

Justin's passion and career path started early when he was only in kindergarten when he would give the weather to his family and friends with his own weather board.  Some of his favorite memories include staying up late with his grandmother waiting for the first snowflake to fall. While winter weather is very fascinating to him, his true passion is severe weather. Justin has been chasing severe weather for over 10 years. The past two summers he has taken monthly trips to the Great Plains to better understand Mother Nature. Justin says this is what drew him to Lawton.

In his spare time, Justin enjoys working out and playing tennis and golf.  He loves watching movies and has an ever-growing DVD collection.  He is an avid Indy Racing League fan and attends several races.  Of course, one of his favorites is the Indianapolis 500.  His favorite team of all time is the Super Bowl XLI Champion Indianapolis Colts.  However, his favorite thing to do is storm chasing and photographing weather and nature.
