Purse snatcher on the prowl

Lawton_A woman was the victim of a purse snatcher Thursday afternoon.  It happened around noon at an apartment complex in the 6700 block of Maple.

Police say the victim was walking to her apartment with her hands full of groceries, carrying her purse in one of her hands.  A man walked by and said hi.  But, as he passed her, he grabbed the purse, knocked her to the ground, and took off running.

This is the sixth purse snatching in Lawton since the beginning of the year.  Detectives are trying to determine if all six incidents are related.  Police say the description of the suspect is the same for several of them.  They say the suspect appears to be targeting apartment complexes.
