Purse snatching suspect in custody

Lawton_A Lawton man, accused of snatching purses, has been caught.  After seven robberies, most of the victims gave the same description of the suspect, and now, police have him in custody.  The victims described the man as a bald, African American male, about 6' 2".

Last week, police were led to new information after one victim chased the purse snatcher and saw him fleeing in a red truck.  35-year-old Christopher Bridges, of Lawton, was taken into custody after an anonymous tip from Crimestoppers.

Bridges was caught with stolen property in his possession, and victims were able to identify him in a lineup naming him as the purse snatcher.

Bridges has been booked and charged with first degree robbery.
