Oklahoma State continues surge by stopping hot Huskers 77-63

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Byron Eaton scored 20 points and Oklahoma State won for the sixth time in seven games by beating Nebraska 77-63 in Stillwater today.

OSU led 31-27 at halftime and Eaton hit two 3-pointers during a 13-3 Cowboy run early in the second half that stretched the lead to 14 with just under 12 minutes to play. OSU led by as many as 19 with just under six minutes remaining.

Marcus Dove added 17 points and Obi Muonelo 12 for the Cowboys.

Nebraska's Aleks Maric led the Cornhuskers with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Steve Harley also had 17.

Maric also tied the career record for double-doubles in Big 12 play set by Nebraska's Venson Hamilton. Maric has nine double-doubles in his last 10 games and 24 for his career.

OSU improves to 16-12 overall and 7-7 in the Big 12 while Nebraska falls to 17-10 and 6-8
