Relay for Life at Ron Stephens Stadium

There's a relay underway at Lawton's Ron Stephens Stadium, but it's not a race and everyone's a winner...

Many of those taking laps around the track are cancer survivors.

It's the Relay for Life, an annual event to support the fight against cancer.  They'll be going all night, from 7 p-m to 7 a-m tomorrow... And state representative ann coody of lawton joined the participants for a trip around the track

The opening ceremonies start at 7 and there will be a ceremonial lap around the track by a number of cancer survivors. At 8 o'clock they'll be having a live auction, and at 10, there will be a luminary ceremony in honor of friends and family with cancer

Walkers and joggers are about to start a relay, and the finish isn't a place, but a time--

People will be doing laps all night, because cancer never sleeps. Organizers hope to increase awareness that anyone, regardless of age or current health, can get cancer.
