Storms damage homes in Odell, Texas

Odell, TX_Residents of Odell, Texas continue to sift through debris after high winds struck the town Monday night. Wilbarger County officials say winds over 60 miles per hour hit the town around 7:10pm.

There are only about 40 homes in Odell and Wilbarger County Sheriff Larry Lee said  the storm damaged just about every home. The town got a tornado siren just over a month ago, and a little after seven, the siren went off for a full minute, telling residents to seek shelter.  Amazingly, no one was injured.

The Red cross sent emergency response teams to Odell and nearby Chillicothe to provide water, ice, and meals for the residents.
