MARLOW_ Firefighters from three communities battled a large house fire that broke out near Marlow Saturday afternoon. Duncan dispatch received a call shortly after 2 p.m. from people at the house. Officials say at least 20 firefighters worked to put out the blaze.
Marlow fire says this is the largest structure fire they've seen this year, and say it was not easy to get it under control
"We made an interior attack to the front of the residence to make an attack to the south end," said Roy Lanton with the Marlow Fire Department. "Once we got to the south end we realized we couldn't get in there so we began to try to find other means of attack."
Which meant taking a hose through the roof of the attic. No one was hurt in the fire, and the cause is still under investigation.
