There is big news from Fort Sill this morning. A group of about 95 soldiers is  back on Texoma soil, for the first time in a year.

The crowd of family and friends gave them a hero's welcome at 3 this morning inside Goldner Gym on post.

When First Lieutenant Steve Vandezande was asked what he looked forward to most upon returning from Iraq, he replied, "Seeing my wife, getting a beer and some good food again."

The soldiers are with Hotel Battery, 26th Field Artillery, or H-TAB.

They deployed to Iraq around this time last year. But now they're home and 7 News wants to send a salute to the troops and their families.
