Oklahoma City_The Oklahoma Highway Patrol 20 man Emergency Response Team has been re-activated to the Gulf Coast region.
After being re-called earlier this afternoon, authorities in Louisiana determined that they were in need of assistance from other states. "Our Troopers were re-called and made it back to Gainsville, TX before being re-activated" said Captain Chris West, OHP spokesman.
The Oklahoma Troopers will continue with their original assignment of reporting to Gonzales, LA where they will assist local Sheriff's departments in a general law enforcement role.
