Alert neighbor's tip leads to burglary arrest

Lawton_Lawton police say they have solved a series of home burglaries on the city's west side.

An alert neighbor told officers that she noticed a strange man at a home in the 6300 Block of Euclid.  She knew something was wrong when she watched the man kick in the back door of the home, and she called the police.  "He attempted to make entry into the interior of the house and through another door and was unsuccessful in doing that," said Detective Bill Jenkins.  "So he came out and went around the back side of the house, and attempted to break in through a window."

Investigators say the burglar ran away, but they soon caught up with him.  After he was arrested, police say he admitted to committing at least three other burglaries over the past few months.
