Goodyear associate remains in intensive care after weekend incident

Lawton_Press Release_An investigation continued on Tuesday into the Sept. 20 incident that resulted in an injury to an associate at Goodyear's Lawton tire manufacturing facility, Plant Manager Billy Taylor said.

Taylor said that the individual was caught in a piece of tire building equipment in the plant. The injured associate was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and remains in the intensive care unit. No further information on the associate's condition will be released by Goodyear.

"Our immediate priority is to provide assistance to the associate and his family while he is being treated for his injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with them."  "Our safety department is working diligently to determine the cause of the accident. We want to clearly understand what happened," Taylor said.
