Comanche Co._A wreck on Highway 7 in eastern Comanche County shut down eastbound lanes of the highway just east of SE 60th Street for several hours Monday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a semi jack-knifed after the driver ran off the road and over-corrected. The truck's cargo of scrap iron and metal was scattered across the highway and the truck itself came to a stop on the highway, blocking both lanes of traffic.
Crews were able to move the truck off the highway, but the effort to clean up the truck's load, as well as oil and hydraulic fluid that spilled onto the road forced officials to detour traffic around the wreck.
The truck driver was not hurt.
