LPD Officer's House Shot

A shooter took aim at a Lawton policeman's house yesterday morning.

The shooter fired seven shots into the house, broke windows, and caused some minor damage.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. yesterday.

The officer's family was home, but no one was hurt.

Lawton Police Chief Ronnie Smith says it won't be tolerated.

"I don't know who did this. I don't know for what reason, but, they've taken it a step too far now, when they start involving the officers and their families on something that the families have no control over," Smith said.

Chief Smith says his officers are on high alert.

They've notified other law agencies in the area to help find the shooter. They're also offering a Crimestoppers reward.
