Fill your tank in Frederick while prices are down

Lawton_At a gas station in Frederick, Oklahoma, there are plenty of smiles to go around.  On Thursday morning at Allsup's, gasoline was selling for $2.04 per gallon.  www.Oklahomagasprices.com ranks the station as selling the cheapest gas in the state, and as of Thursday morning it ranked the third cheapest in the nation, beating the Texaco station across the street by a penny.

Many people, such as Hilda Hawthorne, were flabbergasted.  She just didn't have the right words to describe what she thought.  Cody Mayfield said he was just enjoying the moment.  "Oh man, I'm loving it," he said.  "I'm loving it.  "You got to have gas, you got to have transportation to get places."

Customer Phyliss Todd works for a local catering service, and is no stranger to the gas pump.  "It's great that it's in our little town, and we get to take advantage of it," she said.  Mayfield is simply happy to get some relief.  "The jobs is not really paying much," he said.  "It's just a struggle.  Every day it's a struggle.  But, with the way these prices the way they are now...it's alright."

By Thursday afternoon, a third gas station in Frederick was reporting gas on sale for $2.02.
