Shooting claims man's life

COMANCHE COUNTY_ The Comanche County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting death Sunday night that appears to be a hunting accident. Investigators say the victim was hunting in a field near Woodlawn and Quanah road in the western part of the county. When he did not return, people went to look for him and found he had been shot at the base of a tree stand.

The sheriff says it appears he may accidently shot himself while climbing out of the stand. The medical examiner was expected to arrive late Sunday evening.

We're told the victim is a hispanic man in his 60's. His name has not been released.
