Bicyclist struck and killed by Altus school bus

ALTUS_ Police say a bicyclist was hit by a school bus and killed Friday night in Altus. Officers say the man riding his bike in the 200 block of Falcon Road around 9:30 p.m., when he crossed the road in front of an Altus school charter bus.

The bicyclist, 31 year-old Kenneth Hilt, suffered critical injuries and later died at the hospital. Police say no students were on the bus at the time of the crash, only the driver.

Altus police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are still investigating the accident.
