Complimentary Christmas Dinner

  • The Salvation Army in Lawton will serve a meal from 2-4 PM for the public, anyone in need or who does not have a place to eat. Monetary donations are welcome.  Now they need rolls and pies donated for the meal, can drop by the office at SW 13th and E Ave, 9 am till 5 PM.
  • Volunteers are needed to work in 2 shifts, from 10-am till 2 PM with meal prep, then 2-6 PM to help serve the meal and clean up.  Just show up or call 355-1802 to get on the list.
  • Gerald's Early Bird Café, 406 SW Lee, at 355-5544, is taking reservations for Christmas meals to be picked up for shut ins or anyone who has no where to eat holiday meal.  Call to reserve meal and pick it up 8 am till noon Christmas day.
  • Duncan's Annual Christmas Dinner, free for the public, is 11 am till 2 PM Christmas Day at the Stephens County Fairgrounds Main Building.  People can call for home delivery or meals to pick up there at 255-3231 until 2 PM on the 24th.
  • Sonny Webb is our contact, 255-3231, he says prep is underway today and on Wednesday will start at 9 am.  They fed about 2400 last year, plan to serve 2700 or more this year.  Open to anyone.
  • In Altus, the Church of Christ at 400 N. Hudson will serve Christmas Dinner from 2-3pm.  People can call 482-1179 in advance if they are coming if they can, they don't know how many to expect-fed about 85 on Thanksgiving but may be the only dinner in town for this holiday.  It is free and open to the public, donations welcome.
